Original Press Release
Monday, April 13, 2015
The Rotary Club of Huron in partnership with Huron City Schools is pleased to announce the creation of Huron Interact Club, a services club for students ranging in age from 13-18. Annually, students will be asked to select one local community, one school related and one International public service project to be completed each year. Students may also participate in fund raisers to support their projects.
Participating students will build leadership skills by demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others, understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work and by advancing international understanding and goodwill. All students gain valuable service hours with every project, a key metric for all students.
Interested students may join Interact by contacting Chad Carter, Principal, McCormick Middle School and submitting a sign up form. Forms are available in the McCormick business office. All students who sign up before May 2nd, 2015 will be cited as “Founding Members”.
Rotary Club of Huron Ohio would like to thanks Dennis Muratori, Chad Carter and Scott Matheny (Huron Schools) for their support of this joint initiative for the students of Huron.
